Great Booster seat for the moneyOct 05, 2009 The seat is easy to use and made of great quality products. When buckling the seat belt, it is nice to be able to push the armrests up and out of the way. It is easy to travel with because it folds up so small and is very lightweight. My 5 year old son is always excited to use his big boy seat! He really likes its sporty look. The only thing missing, which I knew would be, was having the 5 point harness option. I look forward to having this last me a long time!!!

Do not buy if you ever give your child something to drink in carAug 21, 2009 First the pros:
1. Nice looking seat
2. Pretty easy to keep clean
3. Adjustments are easy and it fits well in a small SUV (I have an Escape)
4. Does a basic job
5. Folds up if you're someone who will move it around a lot.
Cons:
1. Incredibly lightweight to the point of wondering how much protection it offers.
2. Does not give any more protection than your car. This seat uses a basic, cross over seatbelt from your car with no additional restraint or way to secure the seat into your car.
3. Cup holders. Right. They should have just skipped them altogether with how tiny these are. There is one on each side, but they aren't even big enough to hold a standard size water bottle, kid's travel cup or juice box. Who decided this was a good/useful size? Obviously someone without kids...
4. Expensive for how much you don't get. A lot of boosters go for about half what this one costs. Next time, I'll ignore all the good reviews until I can see one up-close. No more ordering without trying on something like this for me. 8(

Great for TravellingMar 01, 2009 This Compass Folding Adjustable Ultimate Booster Car Seat (Tanager color) was used for checking in as baggage on a flight, carrying on my back on a shuttle bus, and alternating between several cars while we vacationed in another state. It was easy to switch cars and was used in a Jeep Wrangler, Honda Civic coupe, Land Rover Discovery and Ford Explorer all late models in the back seat with the lap/shoulder belt (of course.) Buyers be aware that this seat sits loose and is only secured with the lap/shoulder belt with child seated. The child accomodated in this case is a 45 pound 4-year-old. He was capable of unbuckling himself - and this sometimes posed a conflict. This seat also sits upright and his head lolled forward when he slept. The Tanager fabric was easily soiled when he had to climb into it via the Jeep's front seat with muddy shoes - haven't attempted to launder it yet.
I still prefer the 5-point restraint of our Britax Marathon in our 2001 Toyota Tundra double cab truck and will use it until my son's legs are too long (he sits in the middle of the back seat with his legs reaching onto the front seat middle arm-rest console.) We have used the Marathon since my kid was 3-months old - it's just a monster take on a flight and to frequently switch vehicles. I'm pretty sure the Compass booster seat will NOT work in our truck. To use it properly with the lap/shoulder restraint in the back seat (left or right side), there is not enough leg room. But this issue is the fault of our truck's design.
I would highly recommend the Compass booster, if your child is big enough, under the circumstances mentioned.
Best booster ever!Feb 03, 2009 Nice and soft, comfy for the kids. Classy look, no easy to break gadgets. The cup holders flod out and are solid, the arms do actually flip all the way out of the way. My boy absolutely loves the seat and it keeps the seatbelt exactly where it should be.
I can not believe this was discontinued!
