Excellent Product Excellent ServiceMay 02, 2008 Purchased this beautiful table from [...] and they shipped it quickly. The table shipped directly from Powell in 2 cartons delivering with CEVA - Eagle Global logistics. Powell shipped a damaged pedestal in the second carton. I called Homeliving.com and spoke with Jessica who was very helpful in getting the problem resolved. She contacted Powell and they sent out the replacement the very next day. Jessica contacted me with the new tracking number. Her customer service was excellent! No one likes getting damaged merchandise but in this case it had nothing to do with Homeliving.com or CEVA, I must say how a company takes care of you when you have a problem is the difference between a good company and a great one. I would definately order again from Homeliving.com. I love my Powell table, it is very beautiful!
Perfect!Oct 25, 2007 Just ordered the Jamestown Landing Pedestal Dining Table. It arrived less than one week later, in perfect condition. It is even more beautiful than the picture!
It is a cherry stain, and appears a tiny bit redder than the picture. (But it's not that gaudy red cherry you sometimes see.) Also, remember, this is a "lightly distressed" finish, and there are intended (evenly placed) distress marks. This is good, because it makes the piece look antique, and takes the pressure off the first person who dents the table!
Assembly took about 20 minutes and we were so impressed with the quality of workmanship. Even the pre-drilled holes in the table are lined with threaded metal to ensure a more permanent hold.
Once the table was assembled, we stood back and realized it looks like a $1000 piece of furniture.
We like that the table has no leaf. It's nice not to deal with crumbs getting caught in the separation, nor with the weight from a "hidden" leaf.
I can highly recommend this table to anyone looking for a classy, solid, 48" table. It is gorgeous!
