Nice for big babies, a little large.Jan 04, 2009 For our first baby, I did a LOT of research online and decided this was the ticket mainly for three reasons:
1) the price is right
2) the weight and height limits are higher than many other models
3) the print is really nice, not too babyish, and gender neutral.
The seat has excellent safety ratings, is easy to clean and hides stains well, and seems very comfortable to our daughter. It is a little on the big side- doesn't fit in some carts or high chairs, but that seems really unsafe to me anyhow. We opt to get a booth and put her in with us or take the stroller instead. I do use the carrier to get her to and from our car, and manage just fine even with my bag for work or other stuff to shlep (she's about 14 pounds at this point.)
The stroller is solid, looks nice, and steers well. I've read some of the other reviews that claim the seat didn't snap in securely, and I haven't had a problem. There are two clips that open to secure the front of the seat down for safety, and even with these engaged, I only use the handle on the stroller to maneuver the thing (as opposed to grabbing the handle of the carrier) for fear of "tipping" the seat off the base. I'd do this with any travel system, as it has a higher center of gravity. The wheels do knock against door frames and catch on the bottom of racks sometimes when we're shopping, but I really appreciate the size of this stroller- there is plenty of room to put our stuff. I really feel it locks together just fine, and is easy to handle.
We haven't had any trouble fitting either the seat or stroller in our midsized cars- we have a Jetta and a Focus hatchback. The bases are installed in the middle, as they recommend now. The seat also fit in my Mother-in-law's Jaguar, which is tiny inside. It was a tighter fit. Our baby is consistently in the 97th percentile for length, so I'm very glad we went with the safeseat. Also, the latches and buckles are a breeze to use.
I am really happy with this system!
Great product. and good price...Dec 16, 2008 The stroller is great. It has great wheels with very easy and flexible. It is also very easy to close and open. The Infant seat is also great and can be easily setup in the car. The delivery was great too...

Great car seat, stroller too big, would do it differently next timeDec 14, 2008 I purchased the quattro tour travel system a few months ago, and realized the stroller is a lot bigger than I expected, it takes up almost the entire trunk of my car.
The SnugRide car seat is great, but I realized that the Graco SafeSeat can handle a higher infant weight (30lb instead of the 22lbs the SnugRide handles).
If I had to do it over again, I would purchase the SafeSeat Car seat with the Graco Car Seat Stroller Frame which is much more lightweight than the regular stroller
awesome travel systemNov 27, 2008 this is a great travel system. SO easy to undo everything. when it's ready to go in the back of the van all i have to do is push a button and turn and it breaks down and just latch it closed. all done within 2 seconds. it's a bit heavy but nothing a new mom can handle. My 10 year old step son can lift and carry the baby in the infant carrier. It's easy to change the belts as the child grows too. all in all it's a great system that is perfect for boys or girls. its a tan and beige color pattern. sounds ugly but is really pretty.
Great... but beware if you drive a small car!Nov 26, 2008 This travel system has the safeseat car seat rather than the snugride carseat.
If you drive a small car, I recommend going to a store and using the display model to test fit.
I drive a 2009 Toyota Corolla. Fits fine in the middle, but would not fit at all behind either front seat if the front seat is all the way back (which is where my husband needs it in this car).
