Pleasantly Surprised!Feb 19, 2008 I purchased this product direct from Amazon in Medium Oak & it arrived today. I was hesitant to purchase furniture online "sight unseen" but it looked nice, so I gave it a shot. So that others may benefit from a review...
I am pleasantly surprised by the quality of this piece. It is solid wood with quality sliders and hardware. There are many nice add-ins that come with the product, such as a knife block, knife drawer, spice rack, silverware trays, etc. The granite insert is nice too. No cheaping out here.
Definitely a bargain when you consider the price of the pressboard/MDF/HDF stuff sold at major retailers for close the same price. My only suggestion is to have a vacuum handy because tiny bits of styrofoam are stuck to everything when you first take it out of the box. :-)
