 Pretty good for the priceOct 06, 2009
As others have pointed out - assembly isn't that straightforward. I also had alignment issues which I solved with a rubber mallet. Also the floor of the bottom drawer fell out almost immediately. It does feel very sturdy and the teeth guards are a nice touch.

Bought this for my 4 month old son. The instructions are very poor. The parts are not labelled. I had to disassemble mid-way through the install and redo it...The screws that hold the upper arc shaped part on both the sides did not exactly align correctly. In fact I could not attach a screw in one of the sides at all. In addition, the bed-frame was bent. Contacted the manufacturer through email and sent a scanned copy of the invoice and photo of the damaged bed-frame. Recieved reply from the manufacturer in approx under a week stating replacement was shipped. It took nearly 2 weeks for the replacement to arrive. Went on to complete the assembly without any further problems.
The crib has been in use for nearly 2 weeks now and so far so good. As far as sturdiness is concerned I would say its ok (not bad). Looks is not bad either...just that some of the holes on the parts did not align with screw position.
Overall I am ok and hence the 3 star rating. For the price ($[...]) its not bad at all...

Purchased this crib for my fourth child. ( 10 year gap between the 3rd and 4th) The directions were not much help, but with a handyman for a husband, not a problem. The crib is beautiful, nice off-white color, drop down side feature, teething guard, and the helpful drawer under the crib that's a great place for crib sheets, etc. Overall, very happy with this purchase and Amazon shipped it quick (standard shipping). I would recommend this item.

I checked out drop side crib in Babies r us and also in some local stores but did not find what i was looking for. Finally I settled with Da Vinci Crib. Assembly was pretty easy as I have assembled a lot of stuff from Ikea so this one was a piece of cake. This crib is very sturdy and it surpassed my expectations. I bought it for $280 with free shipping. You cannot find this sturdy product for this price anywhere else. Highly recommend for someone who is looking from drop side crib
Nice for the Price, but Difficult to Put TogetherMay 08, 2009
We haven't had our baby yet, but after the 3 hours my husband spent putting together, it looks pretty nice. Some of the holes weren't drilled correctly and he had to use an electric drill to correct them, but after he finally figured this out it wasn't bad putting the rest together. Additionally, be careful putting together the drawer underneath - it is flimsy and easy to break if you don't follow the instructions to a t. But overall it looks expensive and matches many other "dark cherry" furniture pieces from other manufacturers.
