4Great ValueJul 26, 2009
We've had various coat rack stands throughout the years, this being our third one. Since coat racks like this tend to have their arms break due to the weight of heavy jackets we have decided not to pay too much for them due to the expectation that they will end up being replaced in a few years.

So how does this particular rack stand up? So far, so good. We like the finish. It's a dark cherry color and complements our furniture well. It doesn't look "cheap" and is comparable to the other coat racks we have had. It handles heavy jackets without a problem, even when we end up stacking two or three jackets at one time. The top rotates, which is convenient, so that you don't have to twist the whole rack to get to an open arm.

Putting the coat rack together was straightforward and easy. I must admit that my wife put them together and she didn't complain.

The arms that hold the jackets are screwed into the base of the rack using a fairly small screw. This is the biggest point of concern for us, since this is the part that is most likely to break. I wish the manufacturers would design the arm in such a way as to handle the weight better, such as maybe using a shorter arm, more acute angle, or a bigger embedded screw.

On the bright side, we now have spare arms from our previous coat racks that we can use as spares once these arms break, because they will, eventually.

5Nice Rack!Apr 17, 2009
Easy assmbly and looks great. I love the style of the wood, and it fits so easlier wherever I want it too. It can be a little unstable when my roommate piles on WAY to many coats on one side, and doesn't even them out throughout the rack, but for the most part, it's great. Good looking style, Good price, and I just love it.

Great Product.

Really poorly-made, fell apart when I put it together, as in splitting at the base.
great kindling.
spend more money and get something better

5Great product at a low price ,Jan 09, 2009
This looks great and holds lots of winter coats right now as well as purses & bookbags! Very low price - I love it.

5Impressed with the quality and ease of assemblyDec 30, 2008
Who would not be skeptical of a $15 coat rack which costs almost as much to ship? I live in an area where my options to buy a coat rack are overpriced antique shops or a big box retailer. This rack looks high quality, has about seven heavy coats on it right now (so yes it is sturdy) and it was a snap to assemble.

I hate buying low priced foreign made products but this one makes you appreciate the benefits of globalization.
